The opening: Ice age meets bitter citrus fruits. Right after spraying, YUMA explodes in a wave of absolute freshness. A cooling, extremely present mint immediately takes command. It is not sweet like chewing gum, but herbal, pure, and almost cuttingly cold. This mint wave is accompanied by a tart citrus character: the sparkling elegance of bergamot merges with the slightly bitter, exotic eccentricity of yuzu. For a brief moment, a fascinating, pleasantly tart note flashes up, instantly giving the fragrance an enormous dynamism. The twist: the unexpected association. What makes YUMA particularly exciting and unique for me is its specific development. Due to a clean, almost soapy undertone in interplay with the cooling mint and a subtle, sharp ginger note, the fragrance evokes a very specific memory: it smells clean-medicinal in the best sense, almost like a noble, avant-garde interpretation of Voltaren cream. That sounds strange at first, but it works surprisingly well on the skin! It gives the fragrance an ultra-modern, almost clinically clean vibe that stands out significantly from the mainstream. The foundation: clean and grounded. As the citric acidity and the initial cold shock slowly subside, YUMA becomes more approachable but never loses its freshness. Vetiver brings a slightly woody, minimalist earthiness into play, while a healthy dose of musk rounds off the scent. The musk ensures that this ice-cold creation finishes softly on the skin and leaves behind a clean, long-lasting aura.
